TURKCELL SUPER ESNAF
A PLATFORM CONNECTING LOCAL MERCHANTS AND CRAFTSMEN WITH CUSTOMERS
Super Esnaf is a service provided by mobile phone operator Turkcell. It was designed as a platform to bring together the local merchants and customers at the same place. The main purpose was to rise local shopping tradition against big businesses. By using Super Esnaf, merchants can publish their campaigns or craftsmen can advertise their unique products through the app; customers can notice these announcements and share with each other, additionally they can find their needs within the nearest location under specific categories. The liking system also creates a trustworthy environment among the users and shopkeepers.
The app can be used on three platforms; iPhone, Android and Web. Shop enrolment process could be managed by both shopkeepers and users. By considering the merchants' lack of mobile and web usage, we gave freedom to customers to add new places that they prefer to be known by local people.

YEAR & PLACE
The product usage scenarios was established by my colleague Volkan. From the beginning of the design process, there were four key goals ;
- To make visible the rarely known places around our local environment, and create a mobile social place to share them with each other.
- To meet the urgent needs by local merchants and provide a tracking system to find the suitable markets quickly.
- To make the merchants be familiar with the mobile services as the new way of promoting their products rather than the conventional methods and to move the communication between merchant and customer one step further.
- To create much more socially aware customers.
